Menorah Controller USER GUIDE

Overview

  • The Menorah Controller is a simplified electronic interface to automatically control the Menorah using an alarm clock interface. The bulbs can be lit either by the user or by automated alarm feature of the controller at the simple touch of a button.

Powering the Menorah Controller

  • Attach the power cord to the wall outlet.

Set the # of Lamps that are lit:

  • At power up, none of the menorah bulbs will be lit.
  • Press the MANUAL button to set the number of bulbs you want lit; press once for the 1st bulb, a 2nd time for the 2nd bulb, etc.
  • The Shamash (center bulb) will always be lit when any of the other bulbs are on.

Set the Current Time:

  • Press the HOUR button to adjust the hour.
  • Press the MINUTE button to adjust the minute.

Set the Alarm Time:

  • Press and hold the AUTO button.
  • Press the HOUR button to adjust the hour.
  • Press the MINUTE button to adjust the minutes.
  • Release the AUTO button when the clock is at the desired time.
  • AUTO SET LIGHT: When it’s on, the menorah is programmed and ready to go.

Auto Functionality:

  • When the AUTO SET light is on and the desired time is set, the menorah controller will automatically light the next bulb every 24 hours from that time.
  • IMPORTANT: If you interrupt the AUTO SET, for example, it is set to light at 4:00 PM, but tonight you have a celebration, you turn off the power and replace the bulbs with our candle conversion kit. Your party ends 2 hours later, you replace the bulbs, and now you want the menorah to automatically light the next bulb tomorrow.
  • If you just press the AUTO button, the menorah controller will add the next bulb 24 hours later, at 6:00 PM. This is why we have the Alarm feature, so you can reset it for 4:00 PM. You can set it for earlier on Friday and later on Saturday night for the Sabbath as you wish.
