1. LED Strip Light Blinking (Twice Per Second) – Remote Control or App Not Working
Issue: The LED strip light blinks rapidly, and the remote or app does not function.
Solution:
- This blinking indicates that the LED strip light controller is resetting and is in pairing mode.
- Steps:
- Open the Tuya App.
- Add the device (it should appear as Smart Light in the app).
- Follow the app instructions to complete pairing.
- Result: Once paired, the blinking will stop, and both the remote control and app should function correctly.
2. LED Strip Light Not Lighting Up at All
Possible Causes:
- Loose or poor wire connections.
- Broken wire.
- Faulty soldering.
- Loose connectors.
- No power supply.
- Short circuit.
Solution:
- Check for Loose Wires: Inspect all connectors, branch joints, and the LED controller’s terminal block for any hanging or loose wires. Tighten as necessary.
- Replace Broken Wires.
- Solder Connections: If there’s a poor solder joint, re-solder to ensure a solid connection.
- Ensure Connectors Are Firmly Secured.
- Replace Controller: If the controller appears faulty, replace it.
- Identify and Remove Short Circuits: Trace the origin of any short circuits and resolve the issue.
Additional Checks if the Light Bulbs and App Work Properly
If the light bulbs are functioning, the app is installed, and the devices are added successfully, it’s likely that the LED controller power is not reaching the strip light.
Check Point #1: Inspect the 5-pin connector for the LED strip on the upper center stem.
Steps to Inspect and Troubleshoot Connections
Warning: Disconnect the power before any servicing.
Remove Cap on Center Stem:
- Use a screwdriver to remove the screws on both sides of the cap on the center stem.
- Lift off the cap along with the lamp socket.
Inspect the 5-Pin Connector:
- Carefully pull out the 5-pin connector harness.
- Check for any loose or poor connections and ensure all 5-pin connectors are securely attached.
Isolate the Issue:
- Disconnect the strip light on the lower center stem and all arms from the center stem.
Test Strip Light on Upper Center Stem:
- Reconnect the power.
- Use the remote control or app to test the strip light.
If the Upper Center Stem Light Works:
- Start reconnecting each arm (#1 through #8) and the lower center stem one at a time.
- Test each connection individually to confirm they are working properly.
- Note: Mark any arm that fails to light up, troubleshoot the issue, and retest.
Repeat the process until all arms and the lower center stem function correctly.
Steps for Reconfiguring Lighting Sequence
Remove Electronic PCB Controller
- Carefully take the electronic PCB controller out from the tray located on the center stem.
Disconnect 9-Pin Connector
- Separate the male and female sides of the 9-pin connector.
Label Each Wire
- Using labels or a permanent marker, mark all wires on the back of the 9-pin male connector with their corresponding numbers.
- Note: Each hole on the 9-pin connector is numbered. Trace each wire back to the PCB controller terminals to find its number (e.g., Wire #1 from L1, Wire #2 from L2, etc.).
Remove Wires from Connector
- Use a pin removal tool (3mm inner diameter tube) to gently remove all wires (with metal pins) from the 9-pin male connector.

- Use a pin removal tool (3mm inner diameter tube) to gently remove all wires (with metal pins) from the 9-pin male connector.
Insert Wires into New Order in Connector Housing
Insert each wire (with its metal pin) into the designated hole in the 9-pin connector housing as follows:
Wire Number Insert into Hole # Wire #1 Hole #8 Wire #2 Hole #7 Wire #3 Hole #6 Wire #4 Hole #5 Wire #5 Hole #4 Wire #6 Hole #3 Wire #7 Hole #2 Wire #8 Hole #1 Wire #9 Hole #9 Ensure all wires are inserted securely and firmly into their respective holes.

Reconnect 9-Pin Connector
- Reconnect the male and female sides of the 9-pin connector, ensuring a full, firm connection.
Reinsert PCB Controller
- Gently place the electronic PCB controller back into the tray on the center stem.
- Tighten the fixing screw on the lower right of the tray to secure it.
Final Steps
Completion: The reconfiguration is now complete. Plug the power back in and enjoy the newly configured lighting sequence on your menorah.
