Description

The 9 ft Super LUX Display Menorah is a double-sided, multicolor illuminated aluminum menorah for indoor and outdoor public display at large stores, government buildings, lobbies with high ceilings, malls, town halls, corporate headquarters, Jewish Community Centers, synagogues, parks and city squares. Both faces light up, and the included remote sets the colors and animation speed, so the menorah reads from every angle of a plaza, lobby or street.

Where it works

At 9 ft it suits malls, campus greens, town hall steps, large synagogue and JCC lobbies, and mid-size parks and plazas where it needs to be seen from across the space. Indoors it stands on the suction-cup base; outdoors it drops into the in-ground base. If a single-color, one-sided display suits the space better, see the 9 ft LED Display Menorah.

  • Control the Bluetooth lights to match colors seamlessly.

  • Adjust the timing of the Bluetooth lights for precise scheduling.

  • Set the lighting mode for customized ambiance control.

1. LED Strip Light Blinking (Twice Per Second) – Remote Control or App Not Working

Issue: The LED strip light blinks rapidly, and the remote or app does not function.

Solution:

  • This blinking indicates that the LED strip light controller is resetting and is in pairing mode.
  • Steps:
    1. Open the Tuya App.
    2. Add the device (it should appear as Smart Light in the app).
    3. Follow the app instructions to complete pairing.
  • Result: Once paired, the blinking will stop, and both the remote control and app should function correctly.

2. LED Strip Light Not Lighting Up at All

Possible Causes:

  1. Loose or poor wire connections.
  2. Broken wire.
  3. Faulty soldering.
  4. Loose connectors.
  5. No power supply.
  6. Short circuit.

Solution:

  1. Check for Loose Wires: Inspect all connectors, branch joints, and the LED controller’s terminal block for any hanging or loose wires. Tighten as necessary.
  2. Replace Broken Wires.
  3. Solder Connections: If there’s a poor solder joint, re-solder to ensure a solid connection.
  4. Ensure Connectors Are Firmly Secured.
  5. Replace Controller: If the controller appears faulty, replace it.
  6. Identify and Remove Short Circuits: Trace the origin of any short circuits and resolve the issue.

Additional Checks if the Light Bulbs and App Work Properly

If the light bulbs are functioning, the app is installed, and the devices are added successfully, it’s likely that the LED controller power is not reaching the strip light.

Check Point #1: Inspect the 5-pin connector for the LED strip on the upper center stem.

Steps to Inspect and Troubleshoot Connections

Warning: Disconnect the power before any servicing.

  1. Remove Cap on Center Stem:

    • Use a screwdriver to remove the screws on both sides of the cap on the center stem.
    • Lift off the cap along with the lamp socket.
  2. Inspect the 5-Pin Connector:

    • Carefully pull out the 5-pin connector harness.
    • Check for any loose or poor connections and ensure all 5-pin connectors are securely attached.
  3. Isolate the Issue:

    • Disconnect the strip light on the lower center stem and all arms from the center stem.
  4. Test Strip Light on Upper Center Stem:

    • Reconnect the power.
    • Use the remote control or app to test the strip light.

If the Upper Center Stem Light Works:

  • Start reconnecting each arm (#1 through #8) and the lower center stem one at a time.
  • Test each connection individually to confirm they are working properly.
  • Note: Mark any arm that fails to light up, troubleshoot the issue, and retest.

Repeat the process until all arms and the lower center stem function correctly.

Steps for Reconfiguring Lighting Sequence

  1. Remove Electronic PCB Controller

    • Carefully take the electronic PCB controller out from the tray located on the center stem.
  2. Disconnect 9-Pin Connector

    • Separate the male and female sides of the 9-pin connector.
  3. Label Each Wire

    • Using labels or a permanent marker, mark all wires on the back of the 9-pin male connector with their corresponding numbers.
    • Note: Each hole on the 9-pin connector is numbered. Trace each wire back to the PCB controller terminals to find its number (e.g., Wire #1 from L1, Wire #2 from L2, etc.).
  4. Remove Wires from Connector

    • Use a pin removal tool (3mm inner diameter tube) to gently remove all wires (with metal pins) from the 9-pin male connector.
  5. Insert Wires into New Order in Connector Housing

    • Insert each wire (with its metal pin) into the designated hole in the 9-pin connector housing as follows:

      Wire NumberInsert into Hole #
      Wire #1Hole #8
      Wire #2Hole #7
      Wire #3Hole #6
      Wire #4Hole #5
      Wire #5Hole #4
      Wire #6Hole #3
      Wire #7Hole #2
      Wire #8Hole #1
      Wire #9Hole #9
    • Ensure all wires are inserted securely and firmly into their respective holes.

  6. Reconnect 9-Pin Connector

    • Reconnect the male and female sides of the 9-pin connector, ensuring a full, firm connection.
  7. Reinsert PCB Controller

    • Gently place the electronic PCB controller back into the tray on the center stem.
    • Tighten the fixing screw on the lower right of the tray to secure it.

Final Steps

Completion: The reconfiguration is now complete. Plug the power back in and enjoy the newly configured lighting sequence on your menorah.

Frequently asked questions

Can it stay outdoors for the whole holiday?

Yes. These menorahs are built from aluminum for indoor and outdoor public display. Outdoors, use the in-ground base on a lawn, or the indoor base with the Outdoor Base Cover (weighted with sandbags or blocks) on pavement.

Do I have to light it every night?

No. The control board adds one light automatically every 24 hours, so the menorah lights itself through all eight nights of Chanukah once it is switched on the first night.

How hard is assembly?

The main stem comes in two parts and the arms slot into their supports; no special tools are needed and a step-by-step video guide is provided. The menorah comes apart again for storage in the included wheeled canvas case, which has a pocket for each arm.

Which base should I choose?

Indoor base: a 28 lb aluminum plate with suction cups, for lobbies and store floors. In-ground base: a sleeve set permanently in the ground, so the menorah can be installed and removed each year. On outdoor pavement, choose the indoor base and add the Outdoor Base Cover.

Are the bulbs included?

Yes. Nine custom LED chimney bulbs are included. Replacement sets are available on this site under Accessories.

Can it be lit with real flames for a ceremony?

Yes. The Candle Conversion Kit and the Tiki Torch Conversion Kit screw into the bulb sockets for a traditional lighting at public ceremonies.

Where does it ship from and how much is shipping?

Orders ship by UPS from our warehouses in New Jersey and California, whichever is closer to you. The exact rate for your ZIP code is shown at checkout before you pay.

What warranty comes with it?
